The Fite Group Luxury Homes to Sponsor First Ever Arena Eventing Competition at the Central Park Horse Show

PALM BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2017) –  The Fite Group Luxury Homes, the market-leading luxury real estate firm in Palm Beach, is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Rolex Central Park Horse Show and their Saturday night U.S. Open $50,000 Arena Eventing presented by The Fite Group Luxury Homes. This is the first time in history the Rolex Central Park Horse Show has included the Arena Eventing competition in the official show schedule.

The Saturday, September 23, U.S. Open $50,000 Arena Eventing presented by The Fite Group Luxury Homes will feature an elite class of 24 top riders organized into twelve teams. Eight of rider are ranked within the top ten by the United States Eventing Association (USEA), and eight are Olympians. Oliver Townend, currently ranked sixth in the world, will make an appearance for the first time in Central Park for Great Britain, alongside the legendary William Fox-Pitt, who remains one of the most decorated event riders in history.

Arena Eventing has become a popular exhibition platform to showcase the sport of Eventing, one of the iconic equestrian disciplines featured at the Olympic games. The two-round competition will incorporate both show jumping and cross-country elements of the sport, as riders will contest a track set by renowned course designer Captain Mark Phillips. Riders who complete the first-round track under the time allowed without incurring any jumping penalties will move on to the final round of competition.
